One other note, the latest European climate forecast model which updates on a weekly basis just came in today and supports the idea of it turning quite mild during the middle of next week from the eastern Prairies through Ontario. The second week in January, while still not that cold across eastern Canada could turn much snowier from parts of Ontario through southern Quebec and into the western Maritimes as the moist southern jet stream send a series of storms into the region that just may be cold enough for the white stuff. This model is now also hinting that it will be gradually turning colder (typical January cold) the second half of January from Saskatchewan to Quebec while well below normal temperatures could occur from northern Quebec and into Labrador. It also supports the idea of a ridge of high pressure building along the West Coast which would lead to some much needed drying for British Columbia the second half of the month. En tout cas, les jours ont commencé a allonger, on va s'en sortir.

En regardant les modeles ce matin, ca va etre très doux après le jour de l'an, et ca au moins pour 7 à 10 jours. Je ne vois pas de froid du tout, sauf je n'ai pas d'accès aux modeles de plus que 15 jours...
